Why should I train with you and not elsewhere?
Put aside the belts and certificates of the instructors. Put aside the elite “fighters” that WMT produces. Ignore the weight you will lose and strength you will gain. What attracts and keeps our members committed is the family they find when they walk through our doors. It is the down-to-earth sense of community that draws members from near and far. The positive energy at WMT is both inspiring and addictive!
Do you have any openings?
Our doors are always open to honest, friendly and respectful students looking to make positive changes in their lives.
How does the “level” system work?
WMT has a 5-level grading system. Each level has its own goals and curriculum that is appropriate for that level of experience. Students will be selected to advance based on the progress demonstrated in their training at the approval of the instructors. Some of the criteria for advancement include: Regular Attendance, Work Ethic, Positive Attitude, Demonstrated Knowledge of Technique, Commitment to Teammates and Advancement of Fitness Levels
Do you require sparring?
Sparring is not required of any of the students at WMT if they do not feel comfortable. Similarly, sparring is not permitted without the permission of instructors and under their supervision. All sparring at WMT is controlled, safe and done with appropriate safety equipment.
